Functional Workday Analyst - Hybrid in Greensboro, NC - Direct Hire - $150k-160k/yr

This role plays a critical part in configuring, optimizing, and supporting theWorkday Payrollsolution. The person in this position will lead the effort in analyzing existing systems and business processes, identifying process and system improvement strategies, and providing project management services. Translate business requirements into a solution design using recognized Business Analysis techniques and deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Configure and implement Workday Payroll modules, including payroll setup, calculations, taxation, payroll deductions, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their payroll requirements and translate them into effective Workday Payroll solutions and product roadmaps.
  • Lead workshops and gather business requirements, process flows, and system design documentation related to payroll.
  • Drive design sessions for HCM/Payroll with hands-on experience configuring business processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and methodologies related to Workday Payroll.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis to identify areas of customization and develop solutions to address those requirements.
  • Advise business partners on best practices for Workday Payroll and provide recommendations for system optimization.
  • Collaborate with technical resources for integrations with other systems, data conversion, and testing related to payroll processes.
  • Assist in defining testing strategies, creating test scripts, and conducting system testing for Workday Payroll functionality.
  • Work on HCM/Payroll improvements, guiding colleagues through Workday functionality.
  • Stay up to date on the latest Workday releases, features, and functionality, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Resolve functional issues requiring expertise in Workday HCM/Payroll, taking corrective action as needed.
Job Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelors degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
  • 7+ years of working experience with Workday payroll, Workday Certified
  • Experience with Tenant management, Master Data, Reports, Dashboards, EIBs Time & Absence, Benefits, Compensation
  • Strong exposure to Workday Financials.
  • Strong functional understanding of payroll processing and regulations.
  • Workday Payroll, Security, report writing, integration using EIB, Core Connectors, and Studio certification(s)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Experience implementing Payroll and Human Capital Management solutions.
  • Experience implementing Workday.
  • Expertise with system/application design and end-user support
  • Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail
  • Ability to work with our business and IT partners to be an effective Problem-solver.
  • Mentor and share Workday knowledge with our business partners and IT Development staff.
  • Ability to develop and document requirements and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language.
