The Center for Disability Services ( CDS ) provides accommodations and accessible resources for students with disabilities across campus. CDS student employees will assist CDS in this mission by monitoring the front desk and representing CDS at campus-wide events.

Duties and Responsibilities:Providing students with clear, accurate, and comprehensive notes of information conveyed in class sessions.
Providing notes to students in accessible formats (Word documents, PowerPoints, outlines, etc.).
Working in a professional, helpful, and courteous manner.
Attending regular trainings regarding note-taking best practices.
Monitoring the front desk in the CDS main office when needed.
Answering the main office phone line.
Assisting with daily test proctoring.
Assisting with campus-wide events such as Orientation and Warhawk Welcome Week

Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to develop positive rapport with students.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Please note that in order to take notes for students in the classroom, applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA and provide a recommendation from a staff member, a faculty member, or a faculty member from a prior institution. A sample of course notes may be requested.
