JOB SUMMARY :
Assesses Instrumentation requirements for creating and maintaining applications in support of instrumentation configuration and flight test data processing. This position is accountable for supporting and applying Instrumentation DAS (data acquisition system) installation and troubleshooting duties on experimental aircraft.

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plan and perform the work involved in installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems required for data acquisition on experimental aircraft.
- Use various types of specialized test equipment to troubleshoot data acquisition systems on aircraft.
- Ability to work independently and be responsible for good decision-making.
- Ability to work with all aspects of experimental aircraft design and will be required to interact with engineering personnel frequently.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Be able to articulate work-related communications properly through both written and verbal means.
- Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Comprehensive training and fundamental skills for hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
- Technically savvy with computing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Read and understand electrical schematics
