Responsibilities

First point of contact for faculty, students and visitors in the Office of Academic Services and Intern Support. Answers office email address and phone lines, routes calls, and takes messages. Responds to inquiries regarding general undergraduate programs and advising policies. Manages student appointment/intake system (Campus Connect/EAB) and check-in kiosks. Serve as triage to Assistant Director and Academic Dean by assisting students with general questions pertaining to Academic Affairs policies. Maintain student files and documents for electronic filing as designated records management representative for the unit. Maintain Grade Change Report to track the number received from each department. Maintain a working relationship with the Academic Advisors, Career Liaison, and Mapping Coordinator, and remain abreast of new requirements in order to assist students.

Assist with identifying prospective graduates each semester and verifying if graduation requirements are satisfied through completion of undergraduate graduation clearances.

Prepare student residency waivers to submit to Assistant Director for approval. Assist with counseling students on policies related to transient application process and university residency requirement.

Responsible for notifying College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences undergraduate students of important upcoming events and deadlines. Send out correspondence to College students via e-mail, bulletin boards, and social media outlets. Assist with updating information on website and any other tasks that are assigned. Assists with room reservations and other preparations for orientation. Orders office supplies for the unit and maintains storage closet in Academic Affairs suite.

Responsible for providing reports at the end of each semester on student visit numbers, and information on the two limited access majors with student courses, GPAs, and graduation information.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
