Responsibilities

This role serves as a floater and provides administrative support within the Faculty Support Office and to College of Law faculty including but not limited to:
  • Provide strategic administrative support to specialty and senior faculty.
  • Type handwritten documents, correspondence, articles, and reports.
  • Answer incoming phone calls to the Faculty Support Office.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments, including attendance sheets, examination processes, copying, and printing.
  • Plan and manage logistics for faculty and law school events as needed.
  • Replenish supplies in the faculty lounge and conference/work room; organize and distribute office supplies.
  • Assist in preparing for faculty meetings; create and edit PowerPoint presentations.
  • Prepare mailings.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Faculty Support Lounge and prepare coffee for the faculty lounge.
  • Provide direct assistance to the Faculty Support Program Manager and support other Faculty Support Office staff.
  • Serve as a floater to ensure continuity of service within the department and the law school.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency and one year experience in an educational and/or office setting. Post high school education may substitute for work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment, office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple work assignments, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated salary $13 - $15 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Considerations

This is an OPS/temporary job.

Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check .

Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a flexible in-person schedule from Monday to Friday, including evenings and weekends as needed. Occasional overtime hours may be required, especially during exam periods.
