Responsibilities

The Institutional Assessment Support Assistant will provide part-time support to the Office of Institutional Performance and Assessment in assessment and reporting of outcomes and other student learning information and data. This role focuses on data collection, organization, and review for accuracy to support the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and other reports. Although functional knowledge of Power BI and Excel is desired, attention to detail and professionalism are strongly preferred.
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and entering information and data to support assessment in general education curriculum and educational programs as well as other assessment projects. Ensure data is accurately collected and systematically organized for use in interactive dashboards and reports. (50%)
  • Conduct thorough reviews of collected information and data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Work with other office employees to correct any discrepancies and maintain high quality standards. (35%)
  • Help prepare materials that communicate assessment expectations and requests to faculty and staff. Ensure materials are well-organized and reviewed with a strong attention to detail. (10%)
  • Provide general administrative support, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, keeping notes, and maintaining records. (5%)

Qualifications

High school Diploma or equivalent

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated hourly rate is $13 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Considerations

This is an OPS/temporary job with a 20-hour work week. The office is physically located in Tallahassee, FL in the Westcott Building of the FSU campus. and provides the option for a hybrid work schedule.
