What You'll Do

  • Articulate Cisco's value proposition and competitive differentiation to customer decision makers. Position Cisco technology products and services that meet customer requirements and effectively persuade the customer to invest in these innovative solutions.
  • Develop a strategic vision, account strategy, and execution plan in collaboration with your team of Solutions Engineers, Architecture and Software Specialists, Customer Experience Managers, and other internal team members.
  • Advocate on behalf of your customer internally with Cisco Business Units and Cisco Executives to foster mutually beneficial partnerships, promote exposure on customer advisory boards, drive product development roadmaps, foster leadership alignment, and ultimately grow brand dedication to Cisco.
  • Establish strong consultant-like relationships with key business, technical, and procurement partners and decision makers to foster mutual success.
  • Structure creative financial proposals that align to the customer's business and technical requirements.
  • Use the MEDDPICC sales methodology to drive strategic deals and lead sales opportunities, deal progression, and weekly sales forecasts in Salesforce on an ongoing basis.

As an Account Manager on the Cox Enterprises Account Team, you will focus on expanding the Managed Services and Enterprise Go-to-Market with Cisco technology solutions and services. In this role, you will develop a strategic vision and implement your plan at the highest level to achieve year-over-year growth within a highly competitive landscape. You'll possess a customer-first mentality passionate about delivering outstanding business outcomes for our customers. You'll be a great teammate who thrives in a highly collaborative environment with a proven ability to influence collaborators across organizations. This role is based in Atlanta, GA, and the Account Manager is expected to be onsite at Cox Enterprises headquarters multiple days per week. Relocation assistance is not available.

Who You Are

  • Self-Motivated, hardworking individual who thrives in a customer-facing sales/business development environment and has successfully managed large, complex customer and/or partner accounts.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset, initiative, and self-discipline with the willingness to adapt to evolving customer and internal requirements.
  • Possess commanding executive presence and strong communication skills vital to establish key relationships with the right decision makers and influence them to invest in Cisco products and services.
  • Ability to think creatively to overcome political or technical objections and negotiate solutions to issues with peers, partners and customers using a win/win philosophy.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous approach to running your business, leading internal and external meetings, delivering sales presentations, and coordinating customer-facing events.
  • Demonstrated experience running a sales territory, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentation creation, and short-term, mid-term and long-term opportunity management.
  • Preferred experience leading service creation, business development and go-to-market execution with Managed Service Providers and/or Reseller Partners
Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a sales or business development role running large, complex customer and/or partner accounts
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
