Insight Global is looking for someone to perform domestic and international accounting functions for one of our logistics companies. On a day-to-day basis, this candidate will:
- Make sure there is accuracy and timeliness within accounting information, analysis and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies/procedures
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for areas of functional responsibility
- Complete / oversee the monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts
- Resolve outstanding balance issues
- Maintain general ledger accounts accurately and efficiently
- Research, understand, and interpret trends and variances and explain fluxes
- Support the preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical research data based on areas within accounting (such as cash, accruals, accounts receivable / payable, intercompany reconciliations, foreign exchange, etc.)

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree OR related work or military experience
- 2 years accounting or financial reporting experience
- Great math skills/abilities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CPA certification
- 3+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience (preferably with a Big Four accounting firm)
- 1 year of experience working in a medium/large multinational company
- Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management Tool experience (HFM, Hyperion Essbase, or other financial reporting / consolidation software)
- ability to understand and research large amounts of data from multiple sources
