About the Role:

As a CBRE Accounting Manager, you will assist the department with financial management and coordinate a broad range of accounting and reporting activities associated with the global leasing function. Responsibilities also include managing regional lease accounting processes for any of the CBRE regions, i.e. EMEA, APAC, or the Americas, while ensuring global compliance with lease policies. While performing these duties, you will also establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients, including the shared services organization that is responsible for day-to-day accounting.

This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain records of accounting transactions and evaluate results efficiently.
  • Review journal entries and all ledger accounts and ensure reconciliation of all statements according to US GAAP.
  • Perform regular evaluations on accounting issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Ensure that standard accounting policies, practices, and procedures are being utilized and applied globally.
  • Coordinate with management and departments and ensure optimal quality of services to all clients.
  • Collaborate with project teams and resolve all accounting issues for new products and systems while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with Business Finance and other internal customers to explain variances.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP by providing accounting guidance on a variety of subjects.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 5-8 years experience in public and/or private accounting, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Broad experience with large financial systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, etc. is desired. Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Accounting Manager position is $110,000 per year and the maximum salary for the Accounting Manager position is $145,000.00 per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
