They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team and help manage the financial transactions essential to their operations.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable, excellent communication skills and a passion for efficiency.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Review, verify and process invoices for goods and services received, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks and other payment methods in accordance with company policies and payment schedules
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors by responding to inquiries, resolving payment issues and ensuring timely payments
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable balances, ensuring that all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are promptly addressed
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation
  • Accurately enter and maintain financial data in the accounting system, ensuring that records are up-to-date and organized
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries related to accounts payable
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounts payable processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulations in all accounts payable activities

Accounts Payable Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in high volume accounts payable
  • Proficiency in accounting software, SAP preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to accounts payable processes and vendor payments
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments
