Position Title (Classification Title): Adjunct Instructor Pool - School of Nursing, Instructor Working Title: Adjunct Instructor Job Summary: The college is building a pool of adjuncts for teaching opportunities for upcoming semesters. Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis. Your application will be reviewed by the appropriate academic department. Clinical instruction for pre-licensure nursing students in acute care (medical-surgical), pediatrics, and/or mental health settings. Department Nursing FLSA: Exempt Minimum Qualifications: Holds at least the master's degree in an appropriate specialization or the equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and is otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. The appointee may engage in teaching, scholarship and creative projects, and/or service and other related activities, but is not eligible for tenure. Position Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing or related field. Experience in an acute care setting, pediatrics, or mental health nursing. Experience supervising pre-licensure students. A clear unencumbered Florida Nursing License. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching BSN pre-licensure students in the clinical setting. Physical Demands:
  • Physical Requirements: Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely results would be cuts, bruises, etc.
