Description

  • Coordinate the department's day-to-day functions to meet the objectives of the area, department, and District while serving as the assistant to all three Executive Directors.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Executive Directors and other departmental leadership, providing information and instruction relating to the department's daily operations.
  • Organize and maintain routine office work, provide work direction for clerical staff, and make arrangements for appointments, conferences, interviews, and travel.
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining the department filing system, processing routine correspondence, placing and receiving telephone calls and recorded messages, typing documents and correspondence, and ordering and maintaining supplies.
  • Generate requisitions for supplies and services as needed.
  • Maintain files on vendors, contracts, expenditures, payroll, and equipment distribution.
  • Ensure the proper processing of all district forms and adherence to District Policy.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Executive Directors regarding the status of projects needs/concerns of department heads
  • Foster a collaborative working and learning environment.
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) required.
  • Associate degree from an accredited university (U.S.A. equivalency) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Five years of directly related experience (Dallas ISD Campus and or Central Office experience is preferred).
  • Ability in M.S. Office suite, proficient in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphic applications.
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills are required to achieve the goals of the position
  • Knowledge of district organizations, operations, administrative policies, goals, and objectives
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of district personnel and the public
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
