Job Summary/Basic Function
Standard administrative office work for three different areas: College of Social and Behavioral Science Dean's Office (30%), Social and Behavioral Science Interdisciplinary Programs Department (50%), and Walker Institute of Politics and Public Service (20%). Ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented applicants, with the strong ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner with varied work projects in three separate organizations; high proficiency using PC applications, answering departmental phone, emailing students, staff, and faculty; using WSU scheduling, budget, and people management software; advising students about the programs' schedule of courses and electives; event planning; excellent verbal, written, and communication skills; strong social skills that demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and work with students, faculty, staff, community leaders and business people.

Required Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma minimum
- Two years full-time administrative/secretarial experience or related experience
- Experience with and high proficiency using computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet software, Adobe software, Google mail and calendaring or similar email application)
- Customer relations experience
Preferred:
- Familiarity with WSU Banner
- Familiarity with Concur financial system
- Experience in higher education setting
