Admissions Director

About the Job:

A beautifully renovated short term rehabilitation/long term care facility, seeking a Director of Admissions to join our dynamic team of professionals at Verrazano Nursing and Post-Acute Center . The Director of Admissions should have a successful track record with filling skilled nursing facility beds. In this role, you will lead the Admissions department to having a productive working relationship with local hospitals, process resident admissions in an efficient and appropriate manner, following facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the inquiry, admission, and readmission from the hospital, community, and any other related healthcare entity.
• Provide customers with facility information via facility tours, personal visits, assessments, conversation, and follow up.
• Responsible for using discretion and independent judgment to make a primary determination as to whether a patient is financially and clinically appropriate for the community's skilled nursing setting.
• Assist with insurance authorization process
• PRI knowledge
• Assist with bed assignments
• Prepare daily census in an accurate/timely manner
• Formulates monthly reports on admissions and discharges
• Inputting of census information into billing and clinical software

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: 70k - 85k
