To support our mission, we are seeking to fill an Admissions Support Specialist position. This position is located at Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center at 4800 N. Lamar, Austin, Texas.

The Admissions Support Specialist is hired by and reports to the CCRC Director and works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative. Establishes and maintains appropriate business relationship with providers, customers, and staff. Selected candidate must be willing and able to participate in a blindfold-immersion training program.

General Duties:
• Assist in the reviewing program information, statutes, rules, and/or policies and prepares administrative reports, studies, and specialized research projects.
• Provides assistance and support to the Admission Coordinator and collaborates in the planning, development, implementation, analysis, and documentation of an agency program.
• Conducts surveys and/or assist in determining compliance with certification requirements, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provides administrative support in coordinating with field staff and customer to encourage and improve interest in the program(s).
• Assist with monitoring and reviewing program policies and procedures, statutes, and rules for assigned program.
• Provides assistance with creating and maintaining marketing material including brochures, flyers, and web content.
• Monitors telephone and electronic communication to insure timely response and prevision appropriate information.
• May in assist in providing program tours to potential customer and community partners.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Two years college work in social work, psychology or related field.
• One year of full-time work-related experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.
• Two years of work experience with people with disabilities, blind and visual impairment preferred.
• Work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
