Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA)- Cardiothoracic Surgical Critical Care

Job Summary

This is a critical care PA or NP position working in a fast-paced high acuity intensivist led cardiothoracic intensive care unit. Advanced practice providers will be managing patients pre-/post- heart and lung transplant, pre-/post- cardiothoracic surgery, with advanced heart failure and with mechanical circulatory support in addition to other conditions. The ideal candidate works autonomously as well as in collaboration with the interprofessional team to diagnose and manage critical care health problems and coordinate care amongst the entire team. Advanced practice providers are responsible for adhering to all requirements delineated by state professional regulatory agencies. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida; Acute Care or Adult Gerontology Acute Care national certification required for APRN's. Previous ICU experience required. Recent experience as an APRN/PA in Cardiovascular Surgery or Critical Care with Cardiac experience preferred.
