Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, political science, economics, statistics or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Certified Government Finance Officer
- Registered TX School Business Administrator
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Financial and capital project planning
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental staff, departmental and campus budget holders
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated knowledge of research techniques, statistical gathering and analysis as well as principles, practices and methods of budget analysis and control
- Knowledge of key productivity indicators (performance indicators)
- Knowledge of fiscal impact, statistical and financial analysis techniques
- Knowledge of government structure and leadership
- Knowledge of project management, project planning, and problem solving
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate reports and data
- Self-disciplined and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to organize work load in order to meet deadlines and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Thorough knowledge of computer spreadsheet programs; PeopleSoft Financial Application experience preferred

- The work generally involves only exposure to normal, everyday risks. Work is subject to deadlines and may require tailoring and delivering programs to meet the needs of many groups. Work is located in the administration building and is subject to normal interruptions. Must be able to handle stressful situations as necessary. Little to no exposure to danger. Everyday risks require normal safety precautions.
