In the Animal Care Technician I (cage processing) role, you will provide cleaning and maintenance of laboratory animal caging, equipment and cage preparation areas as well as cleaning of animal support areas under minimal supervision.

Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses a High School diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions. Ability to recognize and communicate verbally and/or in writing, problems requiring the attention of high-level personnel in a timely and appropriate manner. Rodent husbandry experience preferred. ALAT certification preferred.
The pay range for this position is $21.04 - 21.94 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide quality assurance to the cagewash area.
- Monitor and record results of cagewash water temperature and cleaning results using provided supplies such as temperature dots/strips, cultures.
- Ensure that all logbooks, checklists, and other records are completed in a timely fashion.
- Report any mechanical failures promptly and properly to the supervisor; and perform microbiological sampling in accordance with SOPs.
- Perform all other duties as they pertain to the processing of cages.
Who are we looking for?
