Responsibilities/Qualifications
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting production web, SaaS, Cloud or server/client applications.
  • Experience or education in developing applications, websites or cloud services.
  • Excellent understanding of Cloud Computing concepts.
  • Experience in utilizing, managing, and configuring build and release pipelines for code deployment and promotion between environments including production (cloud and on-prem).
  • Experience with managing, troubleshooting, and deploying applications to Platform as a Service Cloud environments (Azure preferred).
  • Experience with creating, utilizing, troubleshooting, and integrating REST APIs between different applications, or exposing one for use by an external caller.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), especially as relates to operational support of production applications and their integrations.
  • Experience and understanding of application monitoring concepts. How, where, when to apply alerts, monitoring tools, and log ingestion and management.
  • Experience managing, renewing, and applying public SSL/TLS certificates to internal and external applications. Understanding of different X.509 certificate formats, their purposes, and their use cases.
  • Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Understand best practices for maintaining a healthy production environment.
  • Application operational triage, troubleshooting, ongoing maintenance/support, and customer engagement for critical business services.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc. (PowerShell preferred).
  • Experience with or exposure to developing and operating with Object Oriented Development/Programming (OOD/OOP) languages and frameworks (C#, .NET preferred).
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational databases, specifically SQL.
  • Ability to analyze existing processes, support models, monitoring, automation and tools, with the goal of identifying gaps and opportunities for enhancements or automated triggers, alerts, and remediation opportunities.
  • Ability to lead and manage high-priority incident bridges and triage calls and handle communication with non-technical leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to quickly skill up and apply prior knowledge to resolve complex issues in any technical platform.
  • Passion and drive to constantly innovate and improve personal technical skills as well as to improve the skills of the team.

Minimum education qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
