TheAssistant Banquet/Event Services Manager would support the Banquet Manager in the day to day operation of the Banquet/Events Departmentat the resort.
Some of the responsibilities to include:

• Administratively supporting the team with payroll and scheduling procedures
• Assist with the Banquet Beverage program to ensure standards are being met and help manage a proper par level and inventory of product.
• Assist in the development of banquet standards and SOP's
• Help with supervision and management of banquet team including:
  • Adherence to uniform and grooming standards
  • Following proper service standards
• Enhance the professional development of newly hire bartenders and wait staff and address any discrepancies between expected performance and actual performance.
• Elevate the standards of the team by maintaining VIP standards.
• Assist in training of staff in compliance with Hyatt standards, rules and procedures, as well as Forbes service standards.
• Superviseevent room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail to complete event requirements and create an appealing,luxuryexperience for our client/guests.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a banquet captain or banquet supervisor, preferably in a luxury resort;
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Proficient in basic computer skills

The budgeted range for this position is $70,000-80,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
