SVP is looking for a motivated Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Birmingham, Alabama. The Assistant Construction Project Manager will be an important member of the growing Real Estate Development team, responsible for supporting a wide-range of real estate and construction projects for SVP's 400+ hospital portfolio. This position is a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in America. The Assistant Construction Project Manager will work at SVP's HQ in Birmingham, AL.

R esponsibilities
  • Work alongside the Director of Real Estate & Construction and Construction Project Managers to identify, prioritize and manage various types of renovation, expansion and de novo projects across the country.
  • Track and develop project progress reports.
  • Support the construction project management team in planning, development, coordination and management of all projects.
  • Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders and contractors regarding information and documentation required.
  • Perform administrative tasks: issuing requests for proposals, scheduling meetings, updating project reports, etc.
  • Assist in developing and improving processes.
  • Build, track and manage budgets for various construction projects.
  • Construct exceptional work environments for teammates, clients and pets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to read and generate Gantt charts and schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Proficiency in project management software preferred.
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PMP certification a plus.
