Job Purpose

This role will manage several projects in one or more IT portfolios within the IT Global Business Services team. Projects will range in size and complexity and focus on specific business areas or functions. Some will involve changes in the business process and IT aspects. Projects may target productivity improvement, cost reduction, total cost of ownership reduction (through improved system architecture), and compliance enhancement.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
  • Work with experienced Project Managers to learn and follow a standard Governance Framework, Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Direct Charge methodology. Ensure a consistent application of the Governance, PMLC, and Direct Charge methodology for all assigned projects from initial concept, design, and execution to post-project review.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects. Manage the preparation of detailed analysis and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) documentation to support assigned projects. Ensure compliance with and leverage the IT Governance process to effectively communicate project expectations (requirements, priorities, resources, cost-benefit analysis, risks, etc.), progress, and status to the project team and management in a timely fashion.
  • As an Associate Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in becoming a subject matter expert in the specific project processes that are the subject of improvement efforts. Your expertise will enable closer partnership and involvement of IT with Business at all levels, making you an integral part of the team.
  • As an Associate Project Manager, you will not be alone in your journey. You will work closely with experienced project managers who will support you in aspects of a complex project and guide you when working independently on small to medium projects with less complexity. This support system is designed to help you grow and succeed in your role.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-1 years of related experience
  • Manufacturing environment experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels within the organization
