Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This role will require collaboration with the hospital's leadership team to develop and implement local facility responsibility initiatives, policy, and public affairs initiatives. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at promoting the growth and success of the hospital while improving the health outcomes of the community it serves.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Unit Specific
1. Oversight of all components of the grants cycle including expenditures, revenue, budgets, and staffing
2. Responsible for post-award monitoring, program sub-contract management, and grant closeout procedures
3. Provides technical assistance and guidance in the preparation, submission, processing, and management of grants
4. Serves as liaison between department administrative, technical, professional divisions, and central office management
5. Reallocating budget as necessary to fund department purchases while matching actuals to historical spends
6. Responsible for knowledge and planning in relations to compliance requirements and regulations promulgated by regulatory agencies, the NYC Health + Hospitals, the facility, and the department
7. Participates in planning, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, and programs
8. Identify and apply for grants to support workforce development and preventative care programs
9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, including data collection and analysis, and prepare reports to stakeholders.
10. Create and manage budgets for programs and initiatives.
11. Developing and implementing revenue growth strategies and initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization.
12. Analyzing market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for new revenue streams or business models.
13. Conducting competitive analysis to understand the organization's position in the marketplace and identify potential areas for improvement.
14. Collaborating with marketing teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns and sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
15. Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue and profitability, and developing and executing plans to meet or exceed these targets.
16. Providing leadership and direction to teams responsible for revenue-generating activities, such as marketing, and customer service.
17. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to support revenue growth and improve business outcomes.
18. Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive Latino workforce health program that focuses on disease prevention and management, health education, and workforce development.
19. Establish relationships with local minority-owned small businesses to understand their unique healthcare needs and develop customized healthcare programs to address them.
20. Identify and secure funding opportunities through grant writing and other fundraising efforts to support the implementation of the Latino workforce health program.
21. Develop and implement culturally relevant health education programs to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention in the workforce.
22. Perform other duties as requested by department leadership

Minimum Qualifications
1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Public or Business Administration or a related discipline and 3 (three) years of progressively responsible experience in areas relating to public administration and/or health care planning and administration, grant writing and work related to grants management and development within these fields.
2. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in #"1" above, can be substituted for one (1) year of experience, as described in "1" above.
