Job Description
• Responsible for executing and implementing Social Media for NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health as defined by the Associated Director of Development and Communications or his/her superiors in a collaborative manner.
• Develop a proactive social media content strategy for NYC Health+ Hospitals/Gotham Health brand
• Develop and implement digitally integrated communications strategies
• Integrate social media as a channel into all major Gotham Health initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams
• Establish digital community engagement capabilities
• Act as a decision maker for rapid response with an understanding of what type of content or users warrant a reply
• Report on social media performance with actionable insights on an ongoing basis
• Works closely with supervisor in regard to supporting development-based projects for all Gotham Health facilities
• Complete assignments according to deadlines, parameters, and milestones defined by superiors.
• Establishes and maintains high internal quality by originating creative ideas, managing project timelines, adhering to Creative Briefs or written documents, ensuring consistency of strategic branding.
• Act as a liaison by presenting various stages of work product to the key staff members and effectively responding to requests or inquiries in a timely manner.
• Provides accurate written copy and/or visual as appropriate by conducting brand and/or product research, applying consistent style and message across brand documents, understanding style and referencing usage.
• Maintains consistently high executional excellence by ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to projects, timelines are managed and strategic brand objectives are promoted.
• Ensures smooth internal workflow by utilizing effective delegation, if necessary, the
assignment/reassignment of appropriate resources to jobs, providing or asking for additional direction as needed.
• Generate collateral, including brochures, social media content, flyers, patient education, and other vehicles as needed for all Gotham Health facilities.
• Continue to evaluate new creative methodologies, such as infographics, animation, and other technologies.
• Perform related work as required.
Communication:
• Demonstrate an investment in, and commitment effectively with, the marketing "team" to develop and support a positive mindset about the work, facility stakeholders and the marketing staff that is involved
• Establish rapport and trust with a range of staff members assigned to your account(s) - acknowledging the expectations of and on others, identifying team and project needs, remaining open to considering multiple points-of-view
Development
• Provides extensive project support for Gotham Health initiatives to enhance growth and the patient experience, such internet website development and digital signage.
• Introduce new technologies to distribute patient communications more efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure that best practices are spread throughout Gotham Health when appropriate.
Analytics and Planning
• Display marketing curiosity and a willingness to push your own thinking and the facilities work in new directions
• Demonstrate an ability to develop a range of alternatives for assigned projects
• Identify key elements of an issue, problem or data set and be able to highlight general opportunities and implications
• Make decisions that reflect "layers" of thought - balancing enthusiasm, insight, caution, discretion
Writing Skills
• Provide clear, thorough written direction to facility staff and manager
• Contribute to project and/or annual facility planning documents as necessary
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, Marketing or an approved related discipline; and,
2. Four years of responsible public relations experience involving the press and communications media, employee communications, community affairs, educational affairs, public information, corporate and business affairs, governmental and legislative affairs; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent.
