Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Technology, beginning Fall 2024 (Tenure-Stream)

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is currently seeking a Full-Time Tenure-Stream Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology in the Division of Physical and Computational Sciences, beginning Fall 2024.

Requirements: Ph.D. or ABD (with expected completion by September 1, 2024) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field with a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates. Scholarship, advising, and service activities are required. Experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is required; relevant work experience, and three to five years of university-level teaching experience are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities: Applicants must be able to teach 12 credits per semester in Engineering, at the undergraduate level. Applicants for this position must be able to teach classes offered by Pitt-Bradford's four-year Mechanical Engineering Technology Program and the two-year engineering transfer programs. Courses to be taught may include Intro to Engineering Analysis, Intro to Engineering Computing, Linear Circuits and Systems, Sensors and Automation, and Materials and Lab, Mechanics of Materials, Digital Logic, Technical Calculus. Candidates experienced working with college students from diverse backgrounds and with applied experience in the field of expertise are encouraged to apply.
