Assistant Professor - Industrial Engineering

Description

The Department of Industrial Engineering at Clemson University invites applications for multiple tenure-track or tenured appointments at any rank broadly in the areas of operations research, applied statistics, data science, and analytics. Candidates must have demonstrated strong research abilities and a commitment to high-quality teaching and student mentoring. Ideal candidates will conduct research in one of the following areas: advanced manufacturing, energy systems, health systems, societal systems, and supply chain/transportation/logistics. Exceptional candidates may be considered for a chaired professorship. The anticipated start date is August, 2025.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess a Ph.D. in industrial engineering, operations research, statistics, or related field at the time of appointment. They will develop an impactful research program that is supported by external funding, will be committed to teaching excellence, will support the department's mission and core values, and will help in achieving our inclusive excellence goals.
