The School of Nursing at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications from qualified candidates for the Assistant Professor or Assistant Clinical Professor position.

Classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate program. Expertise in physical assessment, medical-surgical nursing, fundamentals of nursing and mental health nursing is preferred. Successful candidates should have a beginning program of research and scholarship; committee service and outreach activities are required.

The successful candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge and insights gained from the exploration of his/her area of specialization.
  • Ability to communicate to professional peers.
  • Ability to perform successfully the professional duties assigned.
  • Ability to engage in scholarship and research.
  • Ability to demonstrate academic growth.


Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing.

Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Alabama

Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree or doctorate degree conferred by date of hire. Recent classroom/clinical experience with teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
