Position Description:

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin (CW) has two positions available for a full-time pediatric pulmonologist and/or pediatric sleep medicine physician to join its well-established group of eleven physicians and six advanced practice nurses. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a collegial academic medical center and work in an established Children's Hospital ranked as one of the best in the US. The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is consistently named among the top pediatric pulmonary programs by US News & World Report .

The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is committed to excellent patient care, teaching, and research. There is an accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center which provides comprehensive care for >200 CF patients. There is a comprehensive Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center, including a state-of-the-art 8-bed sleep laboratory accredited by the AASM. There are active programs in asthma, technology-dependent children, apnea/BPD, pulmonary hypertension, bronchoscopy, and pulmonary function testing. We participate in multidisciplinary aerodigestive, neuromuscular disease, sickle cell, and pulmonary hypertension programs.

Division staff members include pulmonary nurses and research coordinators, as well as excellent nutritional, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, psychology, and social service support. We have a pediatric pulmonary fellowship program ,and our sleep faculty take an active role in the ACGME-sponsored sleep fellowship.

The Division's faculty is involved in clinical research as a TDN site through the CF Foundation and within the Children's Research Institute (CRI) of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin has a pediatric Translational Research Unit to facilitate clinical and translational research.

Position Requirements:

Eligible candidates should have a MD or equivalent and be board certified / board eligible in either Pediatric Pulmonary or Sleep Medicine. Board certification / board eligibility in both specialties is a plus.
