Position Description:

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Department of Radiation Oncology has an open faculty position.

This role will provide clinical radiation oncology services. Other academic and administrative responsibilities will be assigned as necessary. Functions to provide evaluation and management services, perform simulations, treatment planning and delivery procedures. Will be required to teach students and residents and participate in clinical research. Individual will maintain a culture of safety and quality assurance within the radiation oncology department and attend clinical, administrative and research meetings as required.

Core Responsibilities
  • Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifies normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive and psychosocial status.
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develops dosimetric plans and documents prescriptions.
  • Monitors effectiveness of plan of care.
  • Educates patients on disease and treatment plans.
  • Performs procedures as trained and appropriately credentialed.
  • Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents.
  • Collaborates and/or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Educates, counsels, and assists patients and families regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and preventive behaviors.
  • Performs teaching, research and community service activities as assigned.
