JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Warehouse Lead will assist overseeing the day-to-day operation in the warehouse. This includes, but not limited to checking orders for accuracy, overseeing the correct shipment of orders, ensuring that all shipments are processed in a timely manner, communicating issues with customer service along with proposing solutions, and working with the Distribution Leader in dealing with employee problems. Keeps warehouse neat and operational. Handles all safety concerns immediately. Oversees the outdate pull process. Ensures that all damaged product is pulled from saleable inventory immediately and processed according to set vendor policy. Assists in the semi-annual Physical Inventory. Oversees that all product is received and stocked correctly. Works with the Inventory Control Clerk to maintain accurate inventory levels. Ensures that all warehouse staff are following set company policy and procedures, and all State and Federal regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with the Warehouse Lead to plan, prioritize and complete project

• Leads and motivates employees to effectively and efficiently accomplish company goal

• High standard for superior customer service

• Satisfactory knowledge of shipping systems (UPS)

• Implements employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale

• Keeps the warehouse Lead informed of daily activities, and issues. Proposes solutions to all issue

• Must get along with co-workers; maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees and the general public.

• Follows all company policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations and charged with reporting violations to the appropriate supervisor.

• Carries out all duties with a Commitment to Caring and in accordance with the companys mission, vision, and philosophy.

• Maintains confidentiality of company information.

• Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times.

• Able to respond to change productively and handle additional projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification, as required.

• Comply with corporate compliance program.

• Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection & prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.

• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.

• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Highschool Degree or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

3+years recent experience in a warehouse environment or supply chain logistics, 3+years of material handling experience (stand on forklift/Chery picker/Reach truck). Strong understanding of all warehouse processes and their connection to WMS. Ability to use systems and technology to multi-task, manage time and create efficiencies. Highly detailed oriented with critical focus on warehouse organization
