Job Description

Senior Speech Language Pathologist at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central The Hospitals are part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

• The Speech & Language Pathologist assesses/evaluates, plans, implements, and provides individual patient care according to professional standards and departmental policies and procedures for swallowing, speech, language, voice and cognitive-linguistic impairments
• Adult inpatient/outpatient and pediatric inpatient/outpatient consultation and treatment service
• Acute care, acute rehab and Outpatients all serviced

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university including 300 hours or supervised clinical experience in speech pathology, and
2. A New York State license in Speech Pathology, and
3. Holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, and
4. Two years of fulltime paid professional experience within the last five years beyond the licensure, in the practice of Speech Pathology in a hospital, healthcare, rehabilitation or related facility.
