KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide information and recommendations regarding financial management and budgetary issues, questions, and scenarios by using data analytics capabilities
- Execute on management's strategy to optimize and automate the use of financial data for financial reporting and operations
- Support engagements by generating reports and visualizations, performing reconciliations, and preparing requested information
- Identify financial data and system issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, data management, and processes
- Analyze data, financial information, and system outputs and determine their effect on business processes, controls and accounting treatment Effectively communicate results to KPMG and client management
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of federal financial management / data analytics experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience with Data Querying, Analytics, Visualization, or RPA tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Python, UiPath, etc.)
- Experience in financial management disciplines generating standards, researching practices, producing analysis, and issuing policies.
- Familiarity with Federal Financial management including any of the following: financial reporting, federal accounting, auditing, audit readiness, or general ledger / financial systems
- U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government TS/SCI + Poly security clearance
