  • Support coordination of HR functions including FMLA, LTD, STD, and other employee retention program areas.
  • Position is part of a group of employee leave/program coordinators who support the organization and its staff in administration of these and other related processes.
  • Position entails advising and consulting with management and interacting directly with employees concerning organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor organizational compliance with employment law, regulations, executive orders, trends and best practices in areas of responsibility.
  • Work with sensitive employee and organizational information to ensure and maintain compliance requirements.
  • Responsibility and involvement in the development and update of organizational leave/program area policies and related procedures.
  • Address sensitive workplace matters by engaging with employees and consulting with responsible and HR management.
  • Support Human Resource Departmental efforts and special initiatives as required, as well as work with colleagues across sections, functional areas, as well as internal and external contacts in fulfilling job responsibilities.

  • Field inquiries from staff and management in leave administration processes, FMLA, STD, and LTD. Provide support in these and other program areas.
  • Explain policies and procedures and work with colleagues and administrative staff in processing required documentation.
  • Work individually and part of team in submitting income replacement claims and related documentation to external insurance carriers.
  • Maintain communication with carrier claim managers to expedite claim decisions.
  • Consultation with Human Resources Management in addressing employee leave issues and/or related matters.
  • Crosstrain in leave and other program areas with responsibilities for program back-up and support.
  • Assist/support employee moral and retention related processes and tasking.
  • Assist in auditing program areas for compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements, as well as recommend process enhancements or changes where appropriate.
  • Become versed in monitoring compliance with multiple state paid leave programs and data governance policy.
  • Address sensitive employee issues to include conducting employee complaint investigations.
  • Coordinate Record Retention & Disposal policy administration. Conduct new employee visits and employee exit interviews.

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 1-5 years: HR or related degree and knowledge of Human Resources Management, employee leave administration, employee relations/complaints, government contractor regulations, working with external insurance carriers, exit interviewing; FMLA, LTD, STD, ADA, ADAAA, Title VI, ADEA, PWFA, etc.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
