Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Assists technical team with configuring and administering the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system in the gas operational technology area. Supports problem solving and troubleshooting in the operational technology environment. Works in a team to implement solutions for ensuring cyber security compliance. Performs troubleshooting of software, hardware, and related issues. Span of control: 0; individual contributor.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assists with system configuration and administration of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) process and operations
  • Troubleshoots and supports operational technology software, hardware, and communication issues
  • Collaborates in a team to perform cyber security mitigations and solutions for compliance-related problems
  • Performs integration of remote field sites, including collaborating with gas operations and engineering
  • Supports data access through development of reports and system interfaces
  • Participates in improvement initiatives for internal cyber security processes and procedures


Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering)


Other Qualifications

Preferred:
• Experience in programming languages (e.g., Perl, C#, PowerShell, or similar)
• Experience in database systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Reporting Services, Integrated Services, or similar)

Other Requirements:
• Proficient verbal, written and presentation skill; communicates clearly with credibility and confidence
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Passes initial Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screens and random drug testing
• Completes Federal Energy Regulatory Commission gas training as required
