What will you do?
Under the direction of the Deputy State Auditors (Deputies), the Audit Operations Analyst (AOA) performs various administrative services and special projects in support of the Audits Division. Specifically, the AOA compiles and analyzes data and prepares reports related to the Audit Division's operations, including the status of audits in progress. The AOA works independently, maintains a high degree of initiative, gathers information, and conducts various tasks to facilitate the productivity of the Audits Division.

Specifically, you will:
  • Analyze and report on key metrics to ensure that audits are conducted efficiently and assist with efforts to monitor the office's system of quality management.
  • Review and analyze existing policies, standards, and procedures related to Audits Division functions, and work closely with the Deputies to perform revisions and develop new policies.
  • Prepare a variety of reports on various topics including Audits Division operations; monitor the worksheet summarizing the audits in progress; and assist the Deputies with their efforts to review the report deliverables.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and coordinate various administrative assignments; identify issues and necessary resources for each assignment; keep management apprised of the current status and any potential problems; and make recommendations as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Deputies including coordinating travel arrangements, internal and external meetings, preparing correspondence, and updating Outlook calendars and schedules.

Working Conditions
  • This position is eligible for participation in the office's hybrid telework program. Work at the alternate work location must be conducted in a space that is ergonomically sound, private, distraction-free, and has safe working conditions to be eligible to telework.
  • Work performed in the office is in an air-conditioned high-rise building with elevator access and both natural and artificial lighting.
  • Work may require sitting for an extended period of time using a personal computer and the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, copiers or scanners.
  • Work may require periodic non-standard work hours and work during weekends to meet workload needs and demands.
