The automation engineer will be involved in designing, programming, simulating and testing automated processes and machinery, followed by creating detailed documentation or manuals for the fully functional projects.
Project Details:
- Review and analyze user stories
- Provide work estimates for testing user stories
- Develop robust automated test scripts based on input from, and in partnership with the QA Functional testers
- Resolve script failures during development and execution
- Identify and raise risks as early as possible in the system development life cycle
- Communicate effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (test artifacts).
- Identify and log defects, work with development to resolve, and verify fixes when implemented
- Maintenance of scripts to keep up with changing business needs
Job Experience:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years in QA automation testing
- Efficiency and knowledge of how automation is performed within such a project
- Proven experience working with Selenium
- Hands-on experience testing applications developed on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome)
- Ability to perform to a reasonable standard of output as a member of a highly productive and collaborative team
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Agility to shift priorities and multi-task based on business needs
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of database concepts with the ability to create simple queries
