We are hiring immediately for a full time Avionics Mobile Service Technician (MST). This role is critical to our mission, so we are offering a $4,000 Sign On Bonus.

What you will be doing as an Avionics Mobile Service Technician:

You can expect to work on maintaining Citation aircraft while installing, troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems at remote locations. You'll assist the MST A & P, respond to customer inquiries, ensure satisfaction, and help maintain the service vehicle. Your role includes troubleshooting, testing, and coordinating with the Service Center Team.

Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Functional Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform functional testing to diagnose and repair avionics system issues based on customer complaints and in-flight analysis. Troubleshoot and correct defective units or wiring discrepancies, ensuring FAA compliance.
  • Repairs and Modifications: Replace defective units, repair wiring, and install modifications using Textron Aviation schematics and blueprints ensuring compliance with FCC regulations.
  • Final Testing and Documentation: Conduct final testing of avionics equipment, sign off customer discrepancy sheets, and accompany pilots in flight as needed for system diagnosis, observation, or functional testing.
  • Parts Management : Order and obtain necessary parts for aircraft repairs, ensuring cores are returned per established procedures.
  • Safety and Quality Control : Communicate safety expectations, monitor the work environment for safety, correct unsafe acts, and stay current on latest developments to maintain FCC and FAA repair station licenses.
  • Team Collaboration : Work as part of a team to meet customer expectations, assisting mechanics and avionic technicians as needed.


What you need to be successful:

  • High school education or GED required.
  • Training equivalent to 2 years of college or technical school is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in aircraft avionics systems, troubleshooting, and repair.
    • Experience on Cessna, Beechcraft, or Hawker aircraft is preferred.
  • A&P License is preferred.
