Job Duties

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Behavioral Health Quality Management Coordinator (BHQMC) for the Division of Clinical Quality Management. This position provides executive level office support to the Division and reports directly to the Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program Manager (BHQIPM). The position also provides support to OCQM and OCQI as it relates to Behavioral Health Policy, Procedure, and Protocol and Training Development and works to implement and evaluate the Behavioral Health Quality Management System (BHQMS), in conjunction with the BHQIPM, Senior Director of Clinical and Quality Management (SDCQM), Assistant Commissioner of Behavioral Health Services, and Director of Facility Quality Improvement (DFQI), to ensure functionality and fulfillment of intended purpose.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Assisting in the coordination of the collection and dissemination of quality reports inclusive of Performance Measure Indicators (PMIs) and surveillance data.
• Developing, implementing, and supporting agency policies, procedures, and plans related to the development, maintenance, and improvement of publicly funded behavioral health for adults, youth and families.
• Supporting cross disability expansion of the DBHDS quality management system.
• Acting as the programmatic lead for assigned behavioral health quality committees and providing staffing and coordination.
• Documenting and tracking all activities of assigned quality improvement committees and workgroups, including but not limited to decisions, recommendations, outcomes, measures, processes, and education.
• Coordinating and collecting information for the assembly of behavioral health quality committee reports and materials for quality committees and workgroups, and preparing quality committee meeting material packages.
• Navigating procurement portals and managing budgets across the division.
• Ensuring consistency in the presentation and compiling of and/or consolidating required quality management program data presentations and data reports.
• Developing and maintaining meeting minutes and ensuring follow up as required.
• Coordinating Quality Improvement and committee orientation training.
• Preparing, compiling, and/or consolidating required quality management program reports.
• Facilitating the ongoing work of assigned quality committees to review and evaluate service quality, and improve the health, safety and well-being of individuals served
• Working with internal and external teams, committees, and workgroups to enhance the DBHDS organizations' culture of quality focus.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality management tools and processes, data management, report writing, and using data for performance improvement
• Administrative experience and knowledge of office procedures and practices.
• Experience providing support to a team of professional staff in an office setting and working with quality improvement teams to focus on quality improvement efforts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment with multiple-changing daily priorities.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in project management.
• Ability to manage projects and organize large scale events.
• Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of information, problem solve, and prioritize work.
• Experience developing and providing technical assistance and training.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and sustain relationships and facilitate diverse groups to achieve identified outcomes.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, to include Teams and other virtual meeting tools.
• Experience using a variety of computer software, to include procurement software.

• Experience in human services field.
• Knowledge of state government operations and procedures.
• Skilled in organizational development and leadership.
