Summary

The Building Automation Systems Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for the Building Automation Systems (BAS) teams across the health system. This position is responsible for driving the execution for maintenance, installation, repair, testing, and inspection of BAS and equipment. This position will perform master level building automation (energy controls) trades work with considerable independence and latitude in judgment concerning methods, materials, and priority of assigned work orders.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is required.

High School Diploma or Equivalency plus five years of relevant experience in building automation, programming, or related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Experience

8 or more years of building automation technician and programming background is required.

8 or more years of experience with electric, HVAC, or refrigeration systems and experience with air compressor and pneumatic control operation, installation, maintenance, and repair is required.

At least 3 years of experience with programming dashboards, system controls and PID (proportional, integral, and derivative) loops, and system set back sequences to support energy savings efforts is required.

Experience with Siemens, CI, Honeywell, Andover, and Allerton systems is preferred.
