ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Designing ELT processes including knowledge of data warehousing strategies and theories
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries for reporting, data extraction and data transformation
  • Develop robust and scalable data models, data pipelines, lookML
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reports and visualizations
  • Looker development with Big Query or equivalent DB as backend
  • Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports and analytical solutions with LookML models, looks, and explores
  • Articulate and document architectural solutions and processes
  • Attend technical and business meetings and act as a subject matter expert
  • Act as a consultant with customers of varying experience levels and roles in universities (C level to associates)
  • Responsible for helping clients better understand software that the customer has purchased and how to use it efficiently
  • Schedule virtual meetings with campuses to understand software needs, reports and solutions.
  • Understanding business requirements and how to use data to create stories related to those requirements
  • Brainstorms Looker solutions to recommend appropriate analytics or KPIs
  • Any other duties as assigned


SkillsREQUIREMENTS
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and data analytics technologies, tools, and methodologies to increase their ability to present data
  • 3 years of experience working in Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Experience in Cloud architectures in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience in performing technical presentations or public speaking.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools with a physical model.
  • Experience in SQL and query tuning.
  • Expert in LookML
  • Strong experience in Looker Administration.
  • Expert in building Looker dashboards and Looks
  • Expert in building Projects, Models and Views.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse and database concepts.
  • Troubleshoot/ debug in Looker and database queries.
  • Experience responding to functional and technical elements of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Experience in data modeling and numerical analysis.
  • Experience managing small software implementations
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to see a project completed.
  • 2 years of customer facing experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
