Your Responsibilities as a Sales and Business Development Manager
Responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. The target market for this role is Commercial Appliance (Laundry & Kitchen) Service and Repair .
You will use your knowledge of company services to connect with consumers and generate sales. Duties include developing sales pitches to sell products or services, making cold calls to sales leads or taking calls from prospective customers and maintaining documentation of their sales.
In short, you will identify prospective customers, follow up on potential sales leads, maintain relationships with existing customers, create winning sales strategies, and close the sale. The Business Development Manager may also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market.

- Schedule and lead meetings with potential customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Attend community-focused meetings and events to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers.
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
- Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region, market segment, or demographic
- Generate and submit sales reports to management
- Responsible for using their knowledge of company products or services to connect with consumers and generate sales for their employer. Their duties include developing sales pitches to sell products or services, making cold calls to sales leads or taking calls from prospective customers, and maintaining documentation of their sales, like invoices or client contracts.
To be successful as our Sales & Business Development Manager, you will need:
- Experience. 3 - 5 years experience of home and/or commercial services sales.
- Motivation. Feel compelled to take action without requiring additional prompting from supervisors.
- Confidence. Trust your intuition about your work actions and complete specific tasks without deliberation.
- Humble. A clear understanding of when you are outside your core competencies and willing to ask for support.
- Ambition. Driven by setting and achieving goals, and knowing when to set higher goals that are still realistic.
- Resilience. Know how to move past difficulties and find alternative solutions to accomplish objectives. Capable of adapting to changes and revising their processes to improve efficiency
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales objectives
- Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the industry and industry trends
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychology
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, demonstrations, and client meetings
