Position Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Empower Pharmacy plays a vital role in driving the company's growth by identifying and engaging with potential clients, aligning directly with our values of people, service, quality, and innovation. This position is critical for expanding our reach and introducing our innovative products and services to new markets. Your expertise in prospecting, leveraging digital tools, and understanding our product offerings will be instrumental in generating high-quality leads that support the company's mission of providing affordable, life-enhancing medications.

In this role, you will utilize your deep product and compounding knowledge, staying current on industry trends and regulatory changes. Your ability to conduct thorough online research using platforms like Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and social media will enable you to locate potential prospects and generate Market Qualified Leads (MQLs). By initiating contact with key decision makers, you will introduce them to Empower's value proposition, effectively communicating how our products and services can meet their needs. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that all data and new leads are accurately entered and updated in the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with both Inside and Field Clinical Liaisons to support sales activities, including scheduling meetings, generating Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), and assisting with events like Lunch and Learns. Your expertise in report generation using Salesforce and other internal systems will be crucial in providing support for prospecting efforts and helping Clinical Liaisons manage their territories effectively. Additionally, you will ensure that all communication touchpoints are executed on time, maintaining a high standard of professionalism in every interaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Possesses detailed product and compounding knowledge and staying up to date on new products and regulatory changes.
  • Conducts online research and utilizing information channels such as social media, internet research, Sales Navigator, and Zoominfo to locate potential prospects and generate MQLs.
  • Utilizes digital and prospecting tool expertise to identify contacts, clinic knowledge, and customer "triggers," and determining the best means for initial contact.
  • Initiates contact with key decision-makers and introducing the company's products and services while leveraging company benefits and Empower's value proposition.
  • Enters all data and new leads into the Salesforce CRM and updates each CRM profile with detailed and accurate information as it is discovered.
  • Qualifies prospect calls and discover all critical details that answer all the Business Development Representatives' qualifying questions with the goal of identifying a solution for Providers and creating a meeting for the Clinical Liaison, thus generating SQLs.
  • Serves as the expert in generating reports using Salesforce and other internal systems, providing critical support for prospecting, and assisting both Inside and Field Clinical Liaisons in managing their territories and teams.
  • Collaborates with both the Inside and Field Clinical Liaisons to support sales activity that results in opportunity generation via drop-ins, additional scheduled meetings, and supporting Field Sales with Lunch and Learns.
  • Ensures that all cadence touchpoints (calls, emails, and text) are executed on-time and within the BDR's cadence structure for each outbound lead.
  • Supports, qualifies, and enters conference lead list information into the Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintains a high standard of professionalism in verbal and written communications and following established sales operating procedures and best practices.
  • Participates in all Sales Development Representative trainings and meetings based on product knowledge, development opportunities, reviewing team metrics, and sales/process changes.
  • Meets and exceeds all key performance indicators related to calls, scheduled meetings, and lead generation requirements to meet and exceed all sales objectives and financial goals.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience and Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Experience with cold-calling, objection handling, and keeping control of a call.
  • Experience with data analysis preferred.
