As a Business Intelligence Engineer for Canada Retail, you will have the opportunity to work with one of Amazon's fastest growing marketplaces, to help develop and innovate on the data architecture that will power some of the most scalable initiatives at Amazon.

We are looking for a passionate, insightful, results-oriented BI Engineer to help manage our ever-growing information needs and support analysis of increasingly complex business. You will focus on the design and end to end execution of self-service reporting, analytics, and data support for economic modeling. Key job responsibilities

Contribute to and build the Business Intelligence roadmap, regularly organizing priorities with stakeholders

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data and partner BI teams to acquire new data from production systems or between databases

Work with business teams to create weekly and monthly business review metrics

Work closely with programs and product managers to understand their data needs to run the program and build the products

Build and deliver high quality data architecture to support business analyst, data scientists, and customer reporting needs

Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers, showcasing a proactive mindset

Lead complex data analysis and maintain regular metrics reporting to help stakeholders gain insights into the program

Write and present high quality written documents to various levels of leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
