Job Description:


JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Strategist & Project Manager maintains a global lens and ensures that Bay Path University's three critical systems (Salesforce, Pathify, and Jenzabar) and processes respective to those systems collectively serve the community. This position will work collaboratively with key stakeholders (admissions, marketing, student services, and partnerships) to optimize the performance of the critical platforms mentioned above. The Business Strategist & Project Manager will also provide project management oversight to ensure that budgets, timelines, and functionality are delivered as specified by a variety of stakeholders. This individual will coordinate efforts across the institution to consider and implement templates, workflows, and data structures to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness, especially through an emphasis on increased automation. The Business Strategist & Project Manager will provide a replicable framework for integrating new departments into the data environment to expand the unification of customer service level support across the University. This is a full-time, twelve-month staff position funded in part by a US Department of Education Title III grant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as the primary CRM strategist in support of the Title III Grant.
  • Ensure continuity of the design of the structure of data stored within the CRM and affiliated tools through collaboration with CRM Administrators for Admissions & Student Support Services.
  • Implement plans for regular internal system audits and system upgrades.
  • Lead Business Innovations work group to identify high-value institutional needs that will drive operational transformation in service of the university's mission and strategic goals.
  • Lead the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.
  • Support change management activities in core business processes, especially those that service students.
  • Work with user community members to define and document development requirements.
  • Lead the design of templates, forms, and workflows in accordance with user discovery and data management practices to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with Data Engineers & Data Analysts to design reporting and data validation projects.
  • Assist in research, testing, integration, and implementation of new applications that extend the functionality of the CRM, SIS, and portal.
  • Attend and conduct trainings as required. Perform any other job-related functions as assigned.



Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, additional project management certification or master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in business or operational analysis and strategy development.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in CRM implementation, administration, and development with a strong working knowledge of CRM and relational databases. Saleforce experience preferred.
  • Strong experience and skill in the management of multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in higher education preferred.
  • Ability to work with confidential material with integrity and discretion.
  • Detail oriented and passionate about accuracy and integrity of systems data.
  • Full understanding of FERPA regulations and their implementation in the higher education workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and database maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Jenzabar or other student information systems helpful.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong problem identification/solving skills.
  • Ability to be self-starting and self-directed and to prioritize and organize work accordingly.
  • Ability to follow University policies and procedures.
