POSITION SUMMARY:

The Programmer Analyst will analyze business requirements and design software solutions for users in finance, sales, manufacturing, and engineering departments. This role will design, code, and test programs using Microsoft Visual Studio Team System. Will provide support to the implementation team including functional, technical, and business users. Salary $90k-$105k

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timetables for implementing programs.
• Conducts QA (Unit, Stress and Performance) testing, software troubleshooting, and creates technical documentation and train end user.
• Converts designs and specifications to meet computer coding standards.
• Creates and runs test plans to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
• Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected. Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.
• Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs.
• Performs trainings for business analysts and/or end users or technical support staff.
• Upgrades system and corrects errors to maintain system after implementation.
• Meets frequently with internal personnel to discuss project specifications and establish needs analysis for department tasks.

GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):

• Ability to interpret and evaluate user requests and solve problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills necessary
• Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple tasks concurrently
• Understanding of database and stored procedure design
• Fundamental understanding of AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Fundamental understanding of LINQ-To-SQL and Entity Framework
• Experience developing in .NET / C# using object-oriented concepts
• Experience with MVC and/or MVVM

DESIRED

• Fundamental understanding of Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Fundamental knowledge of agile software development
• Experience working in a continuous integration development environment
• Experience designing and implementing unit, stress and performance tests

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred or recommended 3 plus years of experience on IT systems applications.
