Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to a $10,000 sign on for Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
The Adolescent unit at Spring Harbor hospital, specializes in the care of children, generally in the 12 to 17-year-old range, in a 14 bed facility. Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents. These include:
  • Depression
  • Disruptive Behavior Disorders
  • Emerging Psychotic Disorders
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Substance Use disorders
Position Summary
  • The Charge Nurse assists the Program Director in the coordination, supervision, and management of all personnel and patient care activities of the unit and in the successful operation of the hospital and network at large.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Certification RN-BC preferred. Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: 2+ year of psychiatric nursing or comparable experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice and judgment
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills
