The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia is searching for a new Chief for the Division of Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Surgery to oversee, lead and grow the division. We are seeking an innovative thought leader with expertise in advanced ablative surgery and multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer. The successful candidate will provide patient care at UVA Hospital and at the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition to clinical services, responsibilities will include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; and clinical, translational or basic science research.

Qualifications
Candidates must have an MD and be board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Completion of fellowship training is required in the area of advanced ablative surgery or other related head and neck oncologic fellowship training, and multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer. Experience in reconstructive microsurgery, robotic surgery, and a history of academic productivity are preferred.
Candidates with expertise in basic science or translational research are encouraged to apply. Evidence of academic productivity is highly valued.
