This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 1 week of paid training. The hours during training will be 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM PST from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build Credibility and Trust with members by creating a better member experience through defined and improved issue accountability.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and high growth environment, while demonstrating independent thinking and decision making.
  • Demonstrate outstanding service to identify the source of the members issue and work to resolve the inquires in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establish a good working relationship with business partners that focuses on resolving members issues timely and accurately (Business Partner examples: claims appeals).
  • On occasion will do training refreshers for the staff based on trending provided to management
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the team, mentoring staff and completing audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 4+ years of experience with working in medical claims examinee role OR medical claims auditor
  • 4+ years of experience with working in a compliance driven healthcare environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft SharePoint)
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • Ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
