Description

The Clinical Quality Analyst is a key member of the UH Health Family Care Center team at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. In collaboration with executive leadership, this role is responsible for the quality improvement initiatives and projects that focus on improving the health care and services for members and to manage compliance with HRSA and state and regulatory requirements.
  1. Work with the executive leadership to create and implement strategies, work plans, policies and procedures and documents to maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  2. Develop and maintain key quality dashboards for required clinical quality metrics, service quality measures and operational targets.
  3. Track and all Health Center policies for elements required for federal compliance.
  4. Compile quality and annual compliance report for Board of Directors and federal reporting as required.
  5. Use applied analytics to forecast and trend retrospective and prospective data.
  6. Design, create and implement Quality Improvement projects and initiatives.
  7. Conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that may include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for quality planning and management needs.
  8. Provide analytical support and expertise when compiling and reporting information.
  9. Performs, analyzes, and monitors quality indicators for assessment of quality using multiple data sources and systems.
  10. Performs data analysis of patient population. Using data analysis to identify opportunities that will improve the health of our patients, improve the care that our patients receive, and/or lower the cost of care for our patients. Develop and present recommendations and alternatives for management and executive review. Provides analytical insights from data to drive strategic decisions. Assists with the preparation of progress reports for executive leadership to outline implementation status, key issues and barriers that impact progress of initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4- year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program or experience that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Preferred: Master's degree preferred. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. Preferred: 3 - 4 years experience in a healthcare setting. 1 -2 years experience in a quality/managed care environment. Proficient in electronic medical record reporting. Ability to perform high level data analysis. Experience synthesizing data for distribution and decision making by senior leadership. Knowledge of clinical quality indicators and social determinants of health. High proficiency in MS office suite.
