You are commercially inclined and drive financial performance for your accounts with sales, revenue, and profitability while maintaining high client satisfaction.

You can establish credibility and guide buyers and influencers through an engaging dialogue. Decision-makers find you compelling and logical in connecting their strategic imperatives to Cognizant's digitally enabled capabilities. You understand that co-location with clients and teams is critical to innovation, and you are ready to partner at client sites to cultivate relationships.

The work:

As a Client Relationship Manager, use your track record of success to contribute toward building trusted advisor relationships, commercial growth and rapid business expansion for your assigned accounts. Own the end-to-end account activities including the overall account P&L and managing senior client relationships. Throughout your tenure you have acquired a deep understanding of the latest innovations with technology tools, techniques, systems, and solutions that matter most in healthcare. You are able to communicate effectively and manage relationships with IT executives and Innovation leaders.
  • Responsible for client relationships, sales, delivery, and account management partnering with clients to create business value.
  • Grasp the challenges clients are facing, offer solutions, and describe the value of digital transformation in terms of business outcomes.
  • Drive profitable sales growth by developing a robust, long-term pipeline of opportunities to ensure the sustainability of Cognizant's business.


Healthcare Provider Practice

Shape solutions for our clients by creating opportunities and making the connection between the client's strategic priorities and Cognizant's offerings, solutions, and people to address these priorities.
Manage contract negotiations and lead creative financial and contractual constructs.
  • Accurately forecast against your accounts backlog and pipeline.
  • Manage client satisfaction and ensure service delivery expectations are met, in line with client expectations.
  • Bring together the right team and lead account planning across the account team.
  • Serve as a trusted client advisor.
  • Create a solid business network within the client and seek opportunities to create connections outside of the client to further enhance relationships (e.g., client to client, cross-industry).
  • Build and leverage a deep understanding of both the industry and market in which the client operates, as well as an intimate knowledge of the client's business to influence the client's business strategies.
  • Promote evidence-based business decisions by blending in business data and domain expertise to discover new insights.


Required qualifications and experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare, developing trusted client relationships with proven sales growth from onset of business development, RFPs, orals, client sales/presentations through delivery.
  • Forecasting and P&L management experience.
  • Strong business development skills and the ability to engage in consultative selling.
  • Experience in the healthcare technology landscape, business drivers, and challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Masters) preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
